Were they using telepathy, or did I bear my feelings in the way I held my shoulders? In the way I tipped my head? Or were mom and dad just comforting themselves with me as an excuse?
This weekend I chose to participate in Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Prompt, Telepathy. I hope you’ve come up with your own theories about what’s going on in this passage, but the backstory I had come up with was the main character’s grandparent had died, and his or her parents were feeling nervous, sad, and stressed.
