Things I Read

I read for two reasons: one is to offer genuine reviews that I try to keep personal relationships out of, and the other is to keep myself honest about reading more books.  I read 3 books a month, and 4 months of the year are dedicated to “Indie” books. At the moment, my 2020 slots are filled, but I am open for backups (in case I don’t like a July or October book) and all 2021 slots.

I will be truthful no matter what, but if I don’t like your book, I will send you an email beforehand and refrain from posting anything on my blog, Goodreads, or Amazon unless requested otherwise. I will mark any book as “read” on Goodreads, but I will not make a review unless it’s 4 or 5 stars. Since I can’t necessarily contact unsolicited reads, indie books that I find on my own are not subject to these strictures and may be reviewed like any other book on my blog, but I will only do 4 or 5 star reviews on Goodreads or Amazon for those. If I like your book, I won’t ask if it’s ok to publish and will put it on any site I wish. I will also rate on Amazon and (NEW in 2020) Goodreads.

This year, I’ve planned out all my reading (except those few Indie Book slots which will be filled as I go). Enjoy them as they come out, or look forward to things based on this list!

Would be amazing if you could check out my sci-fi book ‘The City of Saints’.
It’s about a dystopian future where cyborgs have taken over, and they are killing humans. The protagonist of my story is a ten-year-old girl, who is trapped in this war. She goes on a journey to find her father who had gone missing six months ago, but instead stumbles upon SAM- Specialized Assasin Military-bot who has to kill her but humanity gets the best of him.
